Carley and Jordan- Broughton Hall Estate

From the moment we met to discuss her wedding, I knew Carley was going to be a very chilled out bride.

As a mother of two gorgeous boys, I couldn’t help but instantly connect with her as I have two boys myself.

Carley and her husband have a VW camper van so it really took centre stage with the wedding theme, with guests even having the option to park their own camper at the venue. I couldn’t wait for the big day.

When I arrived at Broughton Hall I could see why this was the perfect backdrop for Carley’s theme. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the Eden house really had the grand wow factor but also had festival vibes. As expected, Carley was her relaxed self, but unlike most brides who have a glass of fizz in their bridal dressing gown, Carley on the other hand had her hair in rollers with her leather jacket on and a bottle of beer. This bride was a total rockstar.

The venue had perfect backdrops and little corners that allowed me to capture gorgeous detail shots of all the small things that made Carley’s day unique. It seems at every wedding I can’t help but shed a tear as the bride walks up the isle. At this one my eyes really were steaming as not only was Jordan waiting for Carley at the top but her two boys also. Even now writing this I am filling up again!!

The couple had a unique idea of blending colourful sand as a symbol of the family being combined together forever. After the service I whisked the couple off for group shots and couple shots. Considering neither the bride and groom had any experience being in front of the camera, they were total naturals and followed my direction perfectly.

Then it was back to celebrate with their family and friends. They broke tradition with not having a first dance, but that didn’t stop everyone getting up and partying the night away with the DJ playing from his own VW camper van. The fire pit next to the tipi was the perfect ending for the festival feel wedding and then off I drove home, blasting out some classic festival songs myself!
